We have the pleasure of announcing the launch of the first Romanian Arts Festival ever organised in the West Midlands from Saturday 26th April to Sunday 4th May.

The philosophy behind the Festival is twofold:

• Firstly, to bring to Birmingham the Romanian cultural ethos and artistic talent, the traditional and contemporary cultural wealth of the fine Romanian spirit, in a way that has never been known to the British public.
• Secondly, and perhaps of equal importance, to increase skill and creativity by providing a unique opportunity for adults and young people from both countries to participate and show their feeling of friendship and collaboration through art.

DACIA Foundation is celebrating its fifth year in 2003 and has already organised a number of very successful events aimed primarily at rising funds for charitable purposes as well as promoting and celebrating the culture, traditions and customs of the two countries.
